BUILD. RIDE. MAINTAIN. REPEAT.
The You Yangs Mountain Bike Club in conjunction with Parks Victoria has been developed to assist with the improvement and maintenance of the Mountain Bike Park, along with organise Social Events and Fundraising via Racing, Events and Shuttle Days.
Everyone ready for tomorrow's shuttle day!
Track Information to be aware of:-
Track 5 and 19 (The Eliminator in Barros Pit) are closed until further notice.
Please be mindful that due to the significant rainfall at the You Yangs R.P this past week that have impacted some of the tracks particularly in the Stockyards MTB Area.
Shuttles will be going to 2.30pm to allow time for the Club AGM which is occurring straight after the shuttle day.
Details of the day for are the following:-
* Shuttles will begin 8am to 2.30pm - Shuttle Pick up is at the bottom of Track 13.
* includes BBQ lunch, Cold drinks, Tea & Coffee
* Mechanical advice and basic tool kit available for riders to use
* Club provides basic first aid, can't stress enough basic!
The club will have Pip's Mobile Bicycle Mechanic on hand for this shuttle day to lend a hand with any mechanical assistance for riders. Ryan is a regular to our shuttles day events as a rider, and now he is coming along to help.
Please Note:
The committee has noticed the the wastage with the can drinks that are available on the day.
Can we ask the you finish one can prior to opening up another.
If this behaviour continues with riders, then the club will need to charge for cans separately to the shuttle day fee moving forward.
Parents are encouraged to help out while there kids are riding;
this is a great way to meet other parents in the MTB community.
Map attached shows parking, shuttle pick up and drop off as well as the most common trials that the riders use on a shuttle day event.
You will also get the benefits of enjoying a day outside in the fresh air.
Club Merchandise (Jerseys, T-Shirts and Hoodies) will be available for sale on the day.

YY MTB trails are open. Track 5 and 19 are closed and need repair.
Hope to have 12 open asap.
Just received notification from the head ranger. Trails are closed till further notice due to the rain received overnight.
Weather is a funny thing. Sheoaks received almost 60mm of rain this afternoon but Avalon only received 15. We have not received any official closure notice from Parks Victoria yet but if we do we will share so just keep an eye on this page before heading out.

There is no longer going to be boggy section on Track 18.
The trail crew smashed out 42 metres of boardwalk.

Update on Track 12 and the 🐝 situation.
Beekeeper has come today and done their thing.
Track 12 will remain closed until the bees have buzzed off enough so Parks Victoria can chainsaw up the tree.
