Challenge Ride4Kids Specialized MTB Festival 2015
A fundraising event that is about participation for all the family with some great prizes to be won by the highest fundraisers. This is a ride, not a race with all proceeds to Challenge supporting kids with cancer.
Registrations for this year’s event are now open and there is an early bird reward for the first 100 entrants. And remember the Festival is for all the family, there is even a kid’s activities area for the youngsters and it is all about being involved.
Following the inaugural event in 2014, this year promises to be even bigger and better! Last year, over 150 mountain bike riders from around Victoria took part, with around 100 of their family and friends enjoying the food and entertainment in the Festival Village.
Click here to register – you can register as an individual (Adult or Junior under 15) or as a family. Plus all individuals can also enter the School or Mountain Bike Club team’s event. Importantly you don’t have to be at the You Yangs on May 17 to be part of this event, everyone is invited to register, even as a non-participant, to raise funds and be eligible for the great prizes on offer.
Once again Specialized have provided some outstanding prizes to be given away to the highest fundraisers in the various categories, including a $7,500 bike to the highest overall individual fundraiser, as well as the Troy Brosnan Cup! In total there will be over $20,000 worth of prizes to be won by the top fundraisers, including Specialized bikes for the Mountain Bike Club and School that raises the most money for children and families living with cancer.
New to the event this year is the opportunity to ride ‘in support of’ or ‘in memory of’ someone special who has travelled, or is currently travelling, the cancer journey. This will give everyone the opportunity to publicly display their support and reinforce what the Challenge Ride4Kids Specialized Mountain Bike Festival is all about – raising money for Challenge to provide the programs and services for children and families living with cancer.
